THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT. PLEASE JOIN US NEXT TIME!!! :)
Our theme this month is: SPRING INTO KINDNESS!! I don’t know if your house is anything like ours, but sometimes my tiny roommates have a little trouble recognizing and appreciating their blessings. They get stuck thinking about the Jordans they don’t have, the unfounded but unshakeable belief that their brother’s muffin looks slightly larger than the one they got, and whether the number of scooters we have parked in our shed can compete with the neighbors. (I can tell you from my last attempt at cleaning the shed that, however many scooters we have, it is far, far too many.) Science has told us that the proven cure for depression, anxiety, and general bad moodiness is acts of kindness. If we can infuse more kindness into our daily lives, we will get ever closer to living our life in full, beautiful bloom!!
After learning a bit about our this month’s theme, we will spend the remainder of our time working on our three kindness projects. For our first project, we will create some spring-themed dishtowels to donate to homeless mothers. Next, we will pull together some super sweet treats - bunny themed, ofc! - for kiddos in need. And last, we will design our very own kites to send, with love, to a child who will just adore it!
Our events are geared to kids of all ages, and we have had kids ranging in age from 1 to 18 at our events. So all are welcome! Parents or guardians are asked to stay with their children through the length of the program to assist the children in completing the projects.
We charge a nominal materials fee per child. Thus, the supplies for each of these activities will be provided as part of the cost of participation. Detailed instructions for each project will be provided as well. The fee will secure your spot in our program. If, for any reason, you must cancel your registration, please do so at least 10 days before the event in order to secure a full refund. Otherwise, your materials fee will be forfeited.
