Our theme this month is: KINDNESS IS EERIE-SISTABLE! You know when you buy only the Halloween candy you DON’T like so you won’t be tempted to eat it, then your kid comes home with a pillowcase just chock freakin full of mini Twix, the very thing you worked all season to avoid?? Yeah. That’s like kindness. The second it enters your home, you just cannot resist the stuff. Bring your fun sized sweeties our way on October 18 to help remind them of ways they can give and give and give love before the blessed day they roam the neighborhood and receive fistfuls upon fistfuls of the sweet stuff!
After learning a bit about our this month’s theme, we will spend the remainder of our time working on our three kindness projects. For our first project, we will make some sweet little Halloween themed keychains to be donated to schoolchildren. Second, we will make some extra sweet Halloween-y treats for kiddos living in shelters. And third, we’ll make Halloween tumblers for families fighting cancer in a single-parent home.
Our events are geared to kids of all ages, and we have had kids ranging in age from 1 to 18 at our events. So all are welcome! Parents or guardians are asked to stay with their children through the length of the program to assist the children in completing the projects.
We charge a nominal materials fee per child. Thus, the supplies for each of these activities will be provided as part of the cost of participation. Detailed instructions for each project will be provided as well. The fee will secure your spot in our program. If, for any reason, you must cancel your registration, please do so at least 10 days before the event in order to secure a full refund. Otherwise, your materials fee will be forfeited.
